Former Black Label Society Guitarist Nick Catanese Pleads Guilty To Sending Sexually Explicit Messages & Images To A 14-Year-Old Girl

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, former Black Label Society guitarist Nicholas Catanese has pleaded guilty to “unlawful contact, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.” This news comes after the 46-year-old was caught sending sexually explicit messages to a 14-year-old girl via Instagram. Some of those messages included pictures of his genitals, requests for nude photos of her, and descriptions of various sex acts. The girl was a student at the School of Rock Castle Shannon in Pittsburgh, PA, where Catanese previously worked, before getting fired after an incident with another female student. The police were alerted to the allegations by the music school’s owner, David Blackrick. Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Donna Jo McDaniel has scentenced Catanese to five years of probation and 25 years as a registered sex offender. He has also been ordered to avoid contact with minors and is not allowed to use any Internet-capable computers.
