According to Wheels, Linkin Park are going to help Mercedes-AMG work on pedestrian-alerting noise for electric cars, which are usually pretty silent. The company is still deciding which sounds it wants to make, but Linkin Park have reportedly been recruited as “Partners in Performance.” Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers told Wheels the following:
“I started to talk with [Linkin Park] about what is their interpretation of electrified sound. We’ve had a cooperation with Linkin Park for years. We’re really close.”
This news comes after Mercedes-AMG previously paid tribute to Chester Bennington with a “flame-tattoo car.”
