The Word Alive’s Telle Smith Suffers Compound Fracture

During the last song of The Word Alive’s set in Los Angeles, CA yesterday (November 12), vocalist Telle Smith suffered a compound fracture in his right leg. Despite this, he plans to finish the tour. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have health insurance, but you can help him out by purchasing merch from his clothing line, etc. Smith posted the following:

He also added the following on the band’s Facebook:

“Hey guys,

Last night while closing our show in LA with Trapped, I had a fall in the balcony and suffered a compound fracture of my tibia.

Luckily doctors were able to use a technique to prevent the need for surgery (at least for now) to allow me to continue on with the tour.

I’ll be in a chair the remainder of the tour and recovery in a cast for the rest of the year so come out and give TWA all of the energy you can!
See you guys soon, thank you!

Ps at this time I have no plans to start a fundraiser but if you want a new addition to your wardrobe maybe consider TWA this month thewordalive.merchnow.com
