Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Fero Lux.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
FERO LUX: Fero Lux started on a hot Summer night here in south Florida, while all the members were in other bands. We didn’t know what this would turn into but it felt right. So we continued writing, got robbed at gun point outside of the studio, kept writing, recorded some stuff and started touring. We played our first show on All Hallow’s Eve 2010. Spooky!
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
FERO LUX: We have so many influences it’s cliche to say the ones we kind of have a similar sound to. But Smashing Pumpkins, Tom Waits, At The Drive-In and Ol’ Dirty Bastard make us who we are today.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
FERO LUX: Our most recent release is called “No Rest”, it’s a full length record. We kind of touch on a lot of social issues here in America on the record — so if you’re looking for something to be mad about, check out the record! It’s also kinda heavy and melodic and mathy and chill and noisy and fun. There’s something for everyone on this shit.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
FERO LUX: Stage dives and high fives.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
FERO LUX: On tour with bands we liked 10 years ago who are doing 15 year anniversary tours. Ha!
