New Insect Species Named After Nightwish Keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen

According to Science Daily, conservation biologist Jukka Salmela discovered s new species of insect in Finland recently discovered a new insect species and decided to name it after Nightwish’s Tuomas Holopainen, due to his love of nature. It is called “sciophila holopaineni,” and it lives in shadowy areas of eastern Lapland, Finland. Holopainen said that he is “very, very touched” and that it “is the highest honour a nature nerd like (him) can receive.”
