Metallica’s Grammys performance with Lady Gaga was pretty much a disaster due to them not even getting announced, and the fact the James Hetfield’s mic was turned off. There is some more information regarding the mic incident however, courtesy of TMZ:
“Sources connected to the production tell us everything was fine right before the “Moth Into Flame” collab was about to begin. Gaga and the band’s line check, right before the performance, went off without a hitch. However, between the mic check and their act … a wire under the stage got unplugged. We’re told a stagehand did it by accident, but the damage was done”
In other news, the band is set to appear on Apple Music‘s “Carpool Karaoke” series. This show is is a spin off of the “The Late Late Show With James Corden” and it will feature various hosts, including Billy Eichner who hosted Metallica’s episode.
