According to Loudwire, a verdict has been reached in the Tim Lambesis case today (May 16). The As I Lay Dying vocalist was sentenced to six years in prison, for attempting to hire someone to kill his estranged wife, Meggan, which he pleaded guilty to in February.
Meggan said that she “felt as fragile as a piece of paper that could float away at any moment,” due to how “dangerous” Lambesis had become. Her parents also spoke at the trial, in her support.
Tim Lambesis, himself, was also allowed to speak and said the following:
“I do feel deep remorse. I want to thank you. For her prayers, which proves you still have the heart that you do.”
Along with the six years of prison the judge also gave Meggan and her children 10 years of protection. Meggan has also filed a civil suit, against the vocalist, in which she is asking for $2 million.
Meanwhile, Lambesis’ bandmates have moved on to make the band Wovenwar, who released their first single on April 21.
