According to Loudwire, Opeth’s new album, Pale Communion, which was supposed to be released on June 17, has now been pushed back to August 26.
The band issued the following statement:
“Many of you have heard the rumors already and we can now confirm that the release of ‘Pale Communion’ has indeed been pushed back to late August,” says Akerfeldt. “Several circumstances prevented the band from delivering essential tools to Roadrunner in time which are needed to set up the album release properly and release schedule conflicts made us mutually decide on August instead of June.”
Fans can pre-order the album, starting June 3, and will receive a download of the new song “Cusp of Eternity.” Another single will be premiered July 15
