Fan Dies After Incident at Miss May I Concert

According to Blabbermouth, a fan has reportedly died after stage diving at a Miss May I concert, in New York, NY, on May 3. The band was playing at The Studio at Webster Hall, when “the fan, who is believed to be named Alberto, suffered major head injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital where he died” (Blabbermouth). When the fan jumped off the stage, no one caught him, which resulted in these injuries.

The band said the following about the incident:

“Hey everyone, we are aware of the incident that occurred at Webster Hall last night and will be posting a statement shortly. However, we are awaiting further information regarding the situation before we are able to make a full statement.”

This isn’t the first time someone has died from being reckless at a concert. One similar incident occured in May of 2010 when Daniel Nosek died at a Lamb of God concert in the Czech Republic, which resulted in Randy Blythe being accused of manslaughter.

The moral of the story is to be responsible while attending concerts. When people get up on stage with the band it can be a danger to everyone involved.

R.I.P. to the fallen.
