The Amity Affliction’s Split With Ahren Stringer Reportedly Hindered By $646,000 AUD Debt

According to Blunt, The Amity Affliction are still dealing with issues behind the scenes following the departure of Ahren Stringer. The bassist/vocalist is still the co-owner and director of the band’s company, which is allegedly dealing with a $646,000 AUD debt, most of which is from the Australian Taxation Office. As such, he had to continue working with vocalist Joel Birch on business matters. This includes signing off on a 2025 restructuring plan. The deal will allow the band to make regular payments for about three years to repay $512,000 worth of the original sum. Considering the circumstances, the group were seemingly unable to buy out Stringer for a clean split.
