Moodring Share “Death Fetish” Album Sampler

Moodring have shared a sampler featuring teasers of all the songs on their new album “Death Fetish.” That effort will be released on March 27.

Hunter Young commented:

“If you’ve been following the singles from a musical, lyrical, and visual standpoint you’ll know…this is more than just music to me.

When I got sick, I was told my chances of full recovery were about 5% and was explicitly told the more I forced myself past my new limits, the further my quality of life would continue to decline. I didn’t listen. On the surface, I was resting, or at least pretending to. In reality, it only made me push harder. But here we are in 2026, and I’m still fighting too hard. I can’t stomach a life without creating, in any capacity that I am able to.

Currently, I am housebound (mostly bed-bound) while still doing my best to find peace and release whatever I can into the world. “death fetish” is a bleak album hiding behind veiled electronics, heavy guitars, and pop hooks. This record is a eulogy to the person I used to be. The way this sickness has affected those in my life and the way it continues to steal with no end in sight. From losing my identity, body, and mind, to the visceral reaction to the ones I lost or the ones who choose not believe me and talk in the shadows.

Through it all, I remain grateful for the people still around and the ones who listen a little closer to hear me loud and clear.”
