Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Leaving Eden

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Eric Gynan of Leaving Eden.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

GYNAN: Hi, I’m Eric Gynan Co-founder of the bands Leaving Eden & Silver Springs Fleetwood Mac Tribute (2 different bands with the same members). A little introduction:

Location: USA, Boston MA

Label: Verdict Music, Sony/Universal World Wide Distribution

Members: Eve (Lead Vocals), Alyssa Bailey White (Keys/Vocals), Jake Gynan (Drums), Rich Chouinard (Bass/Vocals), and Eric Gynan (Guitar/Vocals).

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

GYNAN: We’ve released “School’s Out” originally by Alice Cooper. It’s a different swing on an old song by one of the greatest theatrical artists Alice Cooper, which we were able to share the stage with a few times now. Was absolutely blown away. I think the song is very cool with Eve singing.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

GYNAN: I get my inspiration from so many different artists. When I started out, my older brother turned me on to Black Sabbath. Then getting to share the stage with Black Sabbath was full circle for us. I never really enjoyed Fleetwood Mac when I was a kid, but where we are Silver Springs Fleetwood Mac Tribute, I learned to utterly enjoy Lindsay Buckingham’s finger picking guitar work. Glad to have learned that stuff for sure.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

GYNAN: Lots of energy and interaction with the crowd. We are all in this together and we keep it that way at every show. We only can guarantee the moment so we enjoy that together.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

GYNAN: Continuing to do exactly what we do. We release new material every year and We Continue touring, breaking into new and exciting territories as we forge ahead. We’ve been fortunate enough to have shared the stage with so many great artists, touring The USA, UK & Canada sharing the stage with hundreds of the biggest national bands in the world including; Lacuna Coil, In This Moment, Black Sabbath (Heaven & Hell), Ronnie James Dio, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Marilyn
