The Grindmother will be returning to the stage for two farewell shows in December. The 77-year-old, who is currently battling dementia, will serve as one of the opening acts during Cattle Decapitation’s December 5 show at Club Soda in Montreal, QC and their December 6 show at The Concert Hall in Toronto, ON. Aborted, Frozen Soul, and Tribal Gaze will perform as well. The Grindmother will be joined by her son Rayny Forster (Moshpit Tragedy, Corrupt Leaders) and Fuck The Facts’ Topon Das and Mathieu “Vil” Vilandré. Forster said the following about the final sets:
“We wanted her to have a proper farewell for the fans she loves more than anything. We’re beyond thankful to Travis Ryan and Cattle Decapitation for the opportunity to bring her in front of such a large audience. And of course, to our fellow Canadian grindcore family in Fuck The Facts who have graciously accepted the call. This will be a great celebration. These will be her final live appearances, but it won’t be the last you’ll hear from us. We’re working on new music, and there’s a lot more to come.”
