Earlier today (January 14), SeeYouSpaceCowboy were confirmed as one of the supporting acts on Dance Gavin Dance’s upcoming North American tour. However, the band’s decision to accept the trek was met with controversy from fans who took issue with the way Dance Gavin Dance handled the sexual assault allegations against their former singer Tilian Pearson. The vocalist was allowed to return to the band in November 2022 before making an official exit in April 2024. The group’s problematic history hasn’t sat well with a number of people including SeeYouSpaceCowboy vocalist Connie Sgarbossa, who is now considering the possibility of leaving her band in response to the tour. After initially saying that “there is no part of [her] as an individual that backs this either,” Sgarbossa floated the possibility of leaving SeeYouSpaceCowboy. She said the following:
“Probably gonna be leaving SYSC due to a lack of urgency on issues I have been bringing up for a while now. It was fun while it lasted.”
