Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Novacrow.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
NOVACROW: We are Novacrow, an alternative metal band from Liverpool, UK. We formed in late 2013 and have released two EPs, countless singles, 10+ music videos, and our debut album back in 2022. We’ve played major festivals such as Metal Days, Winter Days of Metal, Hard Rock Hell Ibiza, and Bloodstock to name a few, and have performed in cities all across the country. If you like your metal to be whacky, somewhat experimental, and full of teenage angst, then we’re definitely the band for you!
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
NOVACROW: Some of our influences include Type O Negative, Devin Townsend, Rob Zombie, amongst many many others.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
NOVACROW: Our latest release is our very first Christmas song! ‘The Krampus, The Krampus’ is a re-vamped Christmas edition of our track ‘Medusa Medusa’ and is one of our catchiest tracks to date. The song is released alongside a music video which is guaranteed to put you in the Christmas mood!
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
NOVACROW: Hilarious stage banter, lots of sweat, and plenty of technical issues/failures. Not to mention the most brightly lit merch table you have ever seen.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
NOVACROW: Desperately trying to cling on to whatever sense of youth we’ll have left. Our drummer will probably be reaching retirement age at that point, and Jonyx will be in the middle of a midlife crisis, which means we’ll either be gigging more than ever or less than ever.
