The 3rd And The Mortal have revealed that they are planning to reunite with singer Kari Rueslåtten for select shows in 2025 and 2026. The concerts will find the band celebrating the 30th anniversaries of “Tears Laid In Earth” and “Sorrow.”
The group commented:
“We have had a great time rehearsing together with Kari again after all these years, and we are very much looking forward to meeting fans and friends in the coming!”
Rueslåtten continued:
“This reunion is about celebrating the music we created together with the friends and wonderful fans who have inspired us all along.”
Drummer Rune Hoemsnes added:
“We cannot wait to get out there again and reconnect with the amazing fans and friends who’ve supported us over the years.”
So far, the band have been confirmed for the Midgardsblot festival. That event will be held in Borre, Norway on August 13-16, 2025. Midgardsblot press manager Silje Brekke said the following about that:
“This will be an iconic and unforgettable moment at Midgardsblot. The reunion of The 3rd And The Mortal with Kari Rueslåtten promises to be a magical experience, perfectly entwined with the unique setting of Borre’s ancient burial mounds and history.”
