Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Horror Movies In The Morning.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
HORROR MOVIES IN THE MORNING: We are an independent atmospheric alternative nu-metal band that dabbles in other genres, i guess you could say. We formed in 2022 starting with Nic, Chels and Hammy, later adding Colten. We love what we do and love performing.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
HORROR MOVIES IN THE MORNING: “Mainly Queen growing up, was influenced by a ton of classic rock, as I’ve grown older began to like classic metal, still not a big screamo guy.” – Nic.
“Unintentionally Arctic Monkeys actually. (I forget about them) I played them the most while I was learning bass- it’s interesting enough to keep me motivated to learn but simple enough that it’s easy to pick up. I hope to channel Hiro chan from Otoboke Beaver though” – Chels
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
HORROR MOVIES IN THE MORNING: “Our latest release is a song called ‘Better Gone’” – Hammy.
“It’s metal that unique and not overdone. It’s a picture of different tastes but still metal at its core (i think)” – Chels.
“I think you should check it out because the album perfectly encapsulates who we are as a band. It takes all of our influences and mashes em into something epic!” – Nic.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
HORROR MOVIES IN THE MORNING: “People can expect high energy that makes you head bang and move along with every riff, we pride ourselves on a epic live show with great merch to back it up!” – Nic.
“They can expect us to give it our all. We the music we put out and we love playing our songs even more.” – Hammy
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?“
HORROR MOVIES IN THE MORNING: “In 5 years i think we will have played in almost every state 🙂 Id love for that to be a goal” – Colten
“I realistically see us continuing to grow and take on bigger tours/ opportunities the more we do, we’ve only been at it a little over a year and we are touring nationally, who knows how far we can get in 5 if we keep pushing at this pace and even more!” – Nic
