Forbidden Plan To Release New Music In Early 2025

Forbidden guitarist Craig Locicero has offered an update on the band’s plans for new music. According to him, the group may “release some new songs in the early part of next year.”

Locicero said the following:

“Now we’re writing. I’m writing with mostly Chris [Kontos]. And everybody comes down, we work on stuff, but Chris Kontos and I as a writing team has been awesome. And we’re just really getting started where everyone else really contributes more and more and more. And Dan [Mongrain] is gonna contribute to that in between all this stuff he has going on with Voivod. And it works out perfectly. It works out pretty good. We’re not stomping on each other’s schedules, and both bands prioritize quality over quantity. So that’s what I’m looking at.”

He continued:

“I think we’re gonna release some new songs in the early part of next year. We have the opportunity to do it on our own. We don’t have any obligations to anyone. I personally don’t wanna obligate the band to anyone yet. I think we’re good free agents right now. It’s a good spot to be in. We’ve already been approached. We’re not in a hurry to give it all away quite yet. There might be a time where we need to add a label to the picture, but for the time being, I think we’re pretty good. And with that being said, you can just expect to hear some new music soonish. I would imagine by the end of the first quarter of 2025, we should have some new music out — at least a song or two — and that’s something to look forward to. And so far it’s been fucking awesome writing ’em. So now it’s just time to get dirty, get our hands dirty.”

He also added:

“Just know we’re doing well. We’re busy. We’re gonna be writing music. We’re gonna be hanging out and bonding even more as brothers. And eventually, Dan’s gonna contribute to some of that music. And if you could imagine what that would be like, imagine it even better than you imagine it, and that’s what it’s gonna be like.”
