Death Angel Issue New Statement Regarding Their Withdrawal From W.A.S.P.’s North American Tour

Death Angel have issued a new statement regarding their withdrawal from W.A.S.P.’s North American tour. The band said the cancellation was related to “scheduling conflicts.”

Here’s the group’s full statement:

“In light of recent events we’d like to set the record straight on a few things. We unfortunately had to drop off of the WASP tour due to various unforeseen circumstances and numerous scheduling conflicts that arose. We are more than appreciative of Blackie Lawless and the entire WASP camp for so graciously giving us the opportunity and wish them a very successful tour.

Death Angel is commited to giving you the fans, only the very best of what we have to offer and we look forward to getting back to you all very soon.

Respectfully,

Death Angel“

This news comes after drummer Will Carroll recently claimed that the cancellation was related to some sort of “betrayal.” Some have speculated that he was referring to frontman Mark Osegueda, who is currently serving as the vocalist for Slayer guitarist Kerry King’s solo project.

As of press time, King’s band only have two dates that would have conflicted with the tour. This includes a November 6 show with Amon Amarth in Mexico City, Mexico and a November 8 show with Slipknot in Guadalajara, Mexico.
