Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Onsight.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
ONSIGHT: We are from Paris and we all individually have some great music experience. We have been working on Onsight for the last 6 months. Onsight is a mix of some band members from our previous band called Alaska, along with some friends with amazing talent to complete our group. We play, as we like to say, some modern métal. We all have some different influences, and bring different opinions and ideas within the band and we think you can really hear this on our first release; “Backstabbed.” So this a great and exciting challenge for us to be back on stage after 5 years without touring, and we are really looking forward to what’s ahead for Onsight.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
ONSIGHT: We can say the modern metal stage like I Prevail, Bad Omens, Architects, but we also like some different music like Post Malone, some french rap.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
ONSIGHT: We released “Backstabbed” in June 2024, our first song from the new project. It’s also a new style of music for us, compared to what we did with Alaska. We have a new single called “UNVEIL” for the start of September, another style. This is more what Onsight is and we hope that it will work, so next “Rendez-vous” the 7th of September.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
We put a lot of energy into our shows, that’s why we wanted to come back to the stage with Kevin (the singer) so we really want Onsight to be recognized for that stage work.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
We hope that people will still listen Onsight haha but what we hope is that to develop the band, get signed to a good label to help us to go to the next level. And Why not doing the Hellfest.
