Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Peter Espevoll of InTheosis.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
ESPEVOLL: We’re a collaboration between Norwegian Extol vocalist, Peter Espevoll, and Australian producer Jon Reichardt. We make alternative metal that’s a tad proggy with some big Djenty riffs.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
ESPEVOLL: Karnivool, Hans Zimmer, Korn, Meshuggah, Danny Elfman, Architects, Metallica.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
ESPEVOLL: “Mysteria.” It’s got chunky riffs, a big chorus, dynamic changes, brutal screams. It’s a musical smorgasbord in a song.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
ESPEVOLL: They’re not happening anytime soon since we live on opposite sides of the globe but when they do…an emotional, visceral experience of dynamic heavy music.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
ESPEVOLL: Making music we love. Who knows other than that.
