Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Q&A With Artic Dreams

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Artic Dreams.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

ALEX_Y: We are a collective with a rather heavy history. But I’ll tell you right away that nobody died with us.))) Our project started in 2009 in St. Petersburg. Since then, a lot of things have happened and now we live outside the Russian Federation. We play a nuclear mixture of heavy metal styles, classical music and electronic gothic.

SYDIUS: Just numbers about our band are little, everything else is huge.

GENA: We play metal.

NENAD: A bunch of guys who happen to play music and figured out something special.

ROMAN: Brutal International Death metal.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

ALEX_Y: Metallica, Megadeth, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir Rammstein.

SYDIUS: Polyphia, Intervals, Arch Echo.

GENA: Paul Gilbert, Dream Theater, Symphony X, and many many more.

NENAD: Hypocrisy, Nile, Pink Floyd.

ROMAN: Blind Guardian.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

ALEX_Y: “The Agony Has Started” our debut full-length. We tried to express our concept in it as much as possible at that time and that is what should interest the listener.

SYDIUS: Because it’s new music. Who can resist today when finds a new piece of music, right?

GENA: It’s so hard to find a new metal band album these days, right?

NENAD: So far the remastered version of the first album “The Agony Has Started” can be found on Youtube. Overall better quality and representation of our sound.

ROMAN: Because it’s cool.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

ALEX_Y: Metal.

SYDIUS: They can definitely expect air to breathe and some human beings on stage.

GENA: Metal.

NENAD: Since they’ll be free, the public will have to buy for the exit if they decide to leave early.

ROMAN: Metal.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

ALEX_Y: We expect everything to go well and you will see us on the stages of major festivals.

SYDIUS: We will finally negotiate who takes the seconds solo on the track.

GENA: Have you seen the Rammstein – Keine lust music video. Something like that would be nice =)

NENAD: A bigger stage, a bigger bus.

ROMAN: Olimpiyski Stadium in Moscow.
