Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Q&A With MoGa

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with MoGa.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

MoGa: We are MoGa and we play experimental death metal. Our songs feature blast beats, 8-string guitars, harsh and clean vocals, technical riffs and other moshpit-friendly elements. However, we also have something on the other end of the scale – cool, relaxing and ethereal sounding ballads.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

MoGa: Our music has not been composed with any specific bands in mind – it just shows our musical soul. However, our fans tend to find references to bands like Meshuggah in our riffs or hints of Steve Vai in the guitar solos.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

MoGa: Our debut album “Where Do You Come From” was released in October 2023 and is available on all streaming platforms. I’d urge readers of this site to check it out because it is truly experimental and incorporates a lot of different styles and genres. Just give it a listen and click through the different tracks, as they are vastly different. It is not what you’d come across every day.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

MoGa: See and hear 6 musicians who are giving their all to the audience while performing the album tracks. We have done our best to let them sound exactly the way it is intended. There are no fireworks, but we give you the best possible reason to jump into the circle pit and occasionally lose yourself in our gentle ballads.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

MoGa: Playing more shows and bigger international festivals while enjoying a larger fanbase.

I’d like to take the opportunity to ask all readers to check out our social media and streaming links (https://linktr.ee/mogaband), as well as consider following/subscribing. This is a great way to support us and it really makes a difference. If you are interested in our official band merch, just DM us. Thank you!
