Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee Accused Of Sexual Assault In New Lawsuit

According to Rolling Stone, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee has been accused of sexual assault in a new lawsuit. The woman, who was identified as “Jane Doe,” filed the complaint in response to a 2003 incident in a helicopter.

The lawsuit says the woman was “lured” onto the chopper by pilot David Martz, who lost his pilots licence several times before his death due to reckless flying. Once onboard, they began flying from San Diego County to Van Nuys, CA when Lee allegedly started “forcibly groping, kissing and penetrating her with his fingers, and attempting to force her to perform oral copulation.”

The complaint went on to say that “within a matter of minutes of being airborne, Martz pulled out alcohol he had stored in the helicopter and began to mix drinks.” The woman says Martz gave her a beverage, but she refused to drink it. Then Martz and Lee allegedly started drinking, smoking marijuana, and snorting cocaine during the flight. She also claimed that Martz used the helicopter’s headphone system to ask why she wasn’t drinking and to tell her to “just relax.”

Martz also ordered the alleged victim to sit on Lee’s lap in the cockpit. She felt “immense pressure” and once she sat down Lee allegedly groped and kissed her. She also claimed that she tried to pull away, but “he only became more forceful.” The lawsuit added:

“At one point, Lee penetrated plaintiff with his fingers while fondling her breasts. Lee then pulled down his pants and attempted to force plaintiff’s head toward his genitals. By this point, plaintiff was in tears, but she had nowhere to go — she was trapped with little mobility to leave the cockpit.”

The woman claims the attack resulted in “great shock, distress, humiliation, shame and guilt.” She also says that she chose not to file a report, because she believed it was an isolated incident and that the police wouldn’t believe her. However, she now believes that Martz and Lee “had a history of engaging in indecent and illegal conduct.”

The woman is currently seeking damages for sexual assault, gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence. This includes medical expenses, loss of earnings, and loss of earnings capacity. Lee, Mayhem Touring, Tommy Lee Inc., A Natural High Helicopters, and Social Helicopters were all named as defendants in the case.
