Vince Neil’s Oklahoma State Fair Performance Was Cut Short Due To A Shooting

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil was force to halt his September 23 set at the Oklahoma State Fair due to a shooting at the fairgrounds. The incident happened following an altercation between two groups.

Neil commented:

“At a concert in Oklahoma City Crazy night last night. 3/4 of the way thru the set people started running. We we’re told to get in dressing room. There were shooters shooting people. Thank you fans for your understanding.”

According to the Associated Press, one person was shot and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Two suspects were arrested, but one was released, while the other was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Scott Munz, a spokesman for the fair, said the following:

“It was an isolated incident between two groups of juveniles.”

Oklahoma City police Capt. Valerie Littlejohn added:

“There was another incident with another person that had fired off some rounds into the air, We did get two people in custody. We’re trying to determine their involvement. It is believed one of those is the shooter and is the suspect in this incident.”

It is unclear how the suspect snuck the gun into the fair.
