Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Past The Fall.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
PAST THE FALL: We’re a Melodeath/Groove metal power trio with flavours of grunge/thrash/prog, operating out of Cambridge UK. The band is based on a brotherhood between the founder members Will Wright and Thomas Cope.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
PAST THE FALL: Probably lots of the metal and grunge greats like Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Opeth, Mastodon, Lamb of God.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
PAST THE FALL: It’s our debut album ‘From Insanity’s Ruin’- it’s ten tracks that each have the priority on songcraft and emotion, it covers a range of tempos, dynamics, and contrast. It’s got twin intertwining vocals from whispers to screams and everything in between, epic virtuoso solos and slamming grooves, with top level production.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
PAST THE FALL: Our music performance and sound does a lot of the talking for us and is our first priority, and we like to speak to the crowd as peers and friends.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
PAST THE FALL: Headlining UK club tours and smaller festivals and supporting Major bands and tours around Europe and the states.
