Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Maverick.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
MAVERICK: We’re a punk rock band from Montreal, we play fast and loud (most of the time), and we love to have fun 😊. We are, Eddie (guitar, vocals), Fil (bass, backing vocals) and Elliott (drums, backing vocals).
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
MAVERICK: We listen to a lot of different styles and artists. Amongst the main ones, are Operation Ivy, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold and Pink Floyd.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
MAVERICK: That would be our single “The Tower.” It’s on our Bandcamp, so people can also check out our EP “Bones Shaker.” It’s also featured on the amazing compilation “Angered Intellectuals,” put out by 8up Records. They should definitely check that one out to discover a whole bunch of great bands.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
MAVERICK: Lots of energy. Fast and Loud is what we deliver, with a big smile on our faces.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
MAVERICK: Hopefully, still making what we love most, putting out new music and touring, still having the time of our lives 😊
