Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Standing Crew.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
STANDING CREW: Standing Crew is a very traditional Rock/Hard rock band with five guys. We have Mr Fire as the vocalist, Mr D as lead/solo guitarist, Michael Monteao is playing rhythm guitar and J the Circle is beating drums. Yes you counted right, that’s only four guys, but on our gigs we have Jules as a hired gun. We come from Finland and the bands hometown is Lapua, and yes again the world famous sniper bullets come from here. Well, I got to mention that Mr Fire and Jules live in a nearby town Seinäjoki. All members in our band have been in the business for years, some of us started in the 80`s and the rest in the 90`s so there is decades of experience in the band.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
STANDING CREW: The influences of the band are the 70`s, 80’s and 90’s hard rock and punk bands and all the clichés of pure rock and roll from all the times. And all this we are doing with our own twist!
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
STANDING CREW: We just released a new single called “Fade away” and it`s a High-Octane Rock ‘N’ Roll anthem infused with hard rock influences. I´m pretty sure that all rock fans around the world will get good kicks of this song and add it to their playlist as a permanent song to enjoy.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
STANDING CREW: Good music with a live band playing, enjoying the moment and having fun just like a live show should be. It´s Rock`n`Roll baby! Come and feel the noise, just let go and forget your troubles for the night.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
STANDING CREW: Touring around the globe, hopefully on big stages, releasing more good music, music videos and doing everything that Rock bands do!
