Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with ZOË.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
ZOË: ZOË was born at the end of the 90s. He really found his style in 2003. A rock hard well rock’n’roll with a pinch of stoner and punk. In 2006 the first album was released and since then we have had many concerts and wonderful meetings. Recently we released our fourth album “Back Into The Light,” and as always we are on the road to preach the good word of rock’n’roll.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
ZOË: Ourselves lol ! We listen to a lot of music, from Robert Johnson to Slayer so it’s difficult to say that a band influences us, make up your own mind.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
ZOË: It’s “Back Into The Light,” our fourth record, at this time there are not a lot of good releases so if you wanna listen to something really good and have a good time, come on have an ear on it.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
ZOË: Big sound, energy, rock’n’roll, sincerity, party and beer!
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
ZOË: We are not diviners (lol) we don’t have control over our future, it depends if people appreciate what we create and the producers who could possibly trust us but we are French and our country has no musical culture, so probably in the same place as today 😉
