“This version is based on the heavy arrangement Doja Cat performed at the 2020 MTV EMAs – with a few unique twists of our own! In hip-hop culture, it’s not cool to ‘bite’ anyone’s style or lyrics, so I wanted to remix the song by writing my own original lyrics that stay true to who I am as an artist.”
