Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Stealth

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Stealth.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

STEALTH: Stealth is an Italian metal band founded in 1997 by me (Ivan, the vocalist), Daniele (bass), and Lorenzo (guitars) with the addition of new drummer Michele in 2016. We released several albums, EPs and singles, and performed all over Italy and many European countries.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

STEALTH: I would say Metallica, Iron Maiden and Fear Factory are the bands that influenced us a lot during the last decade. But we have obviously been inspired by all the metal and hard rock bands of the 90s and the first decade of the 2000s. Also I’d say that we constantly take inspiration from all the underground bands we play with at festivals and venues.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

STEALTH: “The Fake New(s) World” is our new single which includes two new brand songs. We released it last Saturday. These are the only two original songs we have released since our latest studio album “Fight For Your Faith,” released in 2014. We added some new effects we didn’t use in the past and tried to maintain the standards of the last album but with a more updated and modern sound.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

STEALTH: A good sound with always innovative and experimental effects. We always try to surprise the listener by adding something that catches the eye.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

STEALTH: I Can’t say now. We are already recording new material and we are preparing to play some gigs after these 2 years of pandemic. 5 years ago we were about to play our UK tour around this time….and it was something unimaginable for us at the time.
