As previously reported, Nikki Sixx recently called Pearl Jam “one of the most boring bands in history” after their frontman Eddie Vedder said that he “despised” Mötley Crüe and the ’80s glam metal scene. The grunge act then responded by sharing a video of a large crowd along with the caption: “We ❤️ our bored fans.” Now, Vedder has apparently decided to take another shot at Mötley Crüe by dissing Tommy Lee’s drum stunts. He said the following before his drummer, Chad Smith (also of Red Hot Chili Peppers), played a solo during a recent show in Newark, NJ:
“That drum kit — that silver, beautiful machine that he is the engine of — does not need to elevate or rotate to do its job. Let me just point that out.”
