Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Next Stop Olympus.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
NEXT STOP OLYMPUS: We are Next Stop Olympus. We are a five-piece metalcore/ post-hardcore band with our own twist of a rock ’n’ roll style from Salisbury / Southampton. We are attempting to bring a little bit of the old school rock ’n’ roll style into a modern day band.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
NEXT STOP OLYMPUS: The Amity Affliction, Atreyu, Beartooth and Escape The Fate, just bands that have got that rock ’n’ roll edge to their heavier style and big catchy choruses.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
NEXT STOP OLYMPUS: Our latest release was our brand new EP ‘Heart, Mind & Hell’ on April 9. Everyone should check it out because there’s a bit of something for everyone, from a heavy track, rock ’n’ roll punchy and even a melodic metal ore ballad in there too. We’ve put a lot of ourselves in this EP so it would be awesome if everyone could go see what we’ve done.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
NEXT STOP OLYMPUS: A high energy show with big catchy choruses for everyone to sing along to and five guys loving what they’re doing on / near the stage.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
NEXT STOP OLYMPUS: Hopefully just carrying on playing the songs we love and having a blast onstage and if it’s what we can call our jobs at that point that would be even better.
