Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Jenna Leigh-Raine

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Jenna Leigh-Raine.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

JENNA LEIGH-RAINE: As a solo artist I make write, record, produce and engineer all the music, which varies:

  • Rock
  • Punk
  • Cinematic
  • Futuristic
  • Dark punk

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

JENNA LEIGH-RAINE: I’m influenced by inspiring music stories and documentaries. My musical influences also include Gary Numan and Avril Lavigne.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

JENNA LEIGH-RAINE: My new album release “KRAFT”. It is a step on from standard rock, modern, mixing classic rock with dark wave and extremely memorable.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

JENNA LEIGH-RAINE: A blonde who has done it all herself. A saviour of dark rock, futuristic defender who has had to fight to get a word in on this industry. The production would be a wall of sound, so imagine vast armies of synths working for the front girl playing guitar and dressed in black. White lights beam, search the crowd. Girls want to be with her, men wish girls wanted them – it’s a punk rock method of hope.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

JENNA LEIGH-RAINE: I hope to be as relevant. I want to be known for releasing my anthology. Touring far and wide, performing good songs and leave a great famous riff. On my next album look out for a track called “Black Flame.”
