Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Wasting Time.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
WASTING TIME: Wasting Time is a melodic punk quartet from Toronto, Canada featuring Mad Vlad on vocals & guitar, Mark on lead guitar, Mike on bass and Mikey on drums. We’ve been active since 2017 having released an album, several EPs and a few singles since.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
WASTING TIME: Alkaline Trio, No Use For A Name, MxPx, Against Me! and Green Day.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
WASTING TIME: We have a single coming out entitled, “My Limited French” set for release on July 24th and a sophomore album will follow in the fall. It is our best written and recorded material thus far packed with melody, energy and sincerity.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
WASTING TIME: Four nutty guys on stage working up a sweat and playing their asses off like their lives depended on it because they have nothing better to do.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
WASTING TIME: Driving the youths to hysteria, driving parents mad and taking over the world!
