Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Tradmrkd

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Tradmrkd.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

TRADMRKD: The band is called Tradmrkd and it comes from Aberdeen in Scotland. The band was originally Eddie and Finlay, who started the band in 2014 with their mate. By 2018 they decided they wanted to go as far as they can with the band, so they got help from Corey and James, thus creating the current lineup.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

TRADMRKD: Every member of the band has a different influence. Our current music is heavily influenced by the East Bay punk scene from the 90s, especially Green Day. Other major influences are Guns N’ Roses, The Smiths, Blink-182 and Nirvana.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

TRADMRKD: Our latest release is called “Pendulum.” You should check this song out, because it is rather catchy. The song is about trying to do the right thing but ending up making things worse. The riff is simple and also sounds clumsy so it helps the song get its message across.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

TRADMRKD: They can expect a good show. We play every show as if it was our last and try create a high energy environment. It may be punk but I guarantee you wont leave disappointed. Every fan we hold close to our hearts and always make sure we never disappoint.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

TRADMRKD: In 5 years hopefully we will have two albums out and be a staple name on the music scene, playing gigs around Europe. That is the dream and the goal. If we achieve this by 5 years then life will be good
