Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Renascentia.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
RENASCENTIA: Renascentia is a progressive metalcore/deathcore band from Salem, Oregon. Renascentia was created in 2015 by founding members Elijah Reiter and PJ Goehring with the intention of combining the heaviest elements of metal and hardcore with more melodic and alternative influences.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
RENASCENTIA: There’s so many we could list, but a few big ones are As I Lay Dying, Thy Art Is Murder, Veil Of Maya, Periphery, Of Mice & Men, and Northlane.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
RENASCENTIA: Our latest release is our new EP, “Dead Reflections”. Readers of Metal Anarchy should check it out because it’s packed with ridiculous technical riffs, breakdowns, blast beats, but also a lot of melodic elements. We put a lot of work into all the new songs and think there’s something for every metal fan to enjoy.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
RENASCENTIA: If you come to one of our live shows, you can expect a tight polished performance with relentless high energy! We like to keep a friendly and fun environment, but we never hold back on stage and we’re not afraid to throw down in the pit and get crazy.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
RENASCENTIA: In 5 years we’re definitely hoping to be touring regularly with larger bands and playing festivals all over the world. We’re constantly writing and recording, so we’ll have a lot more material out in 5 years and we’ll hopefully be a recognizable name for any metal fan!
