Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Liz Hooper of All Good Things.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
HOOPER: Agt started as a studio project- 5 friends writing music for super hero movies, tv shows, gaming and sports music. After a few of our songs appeared on tv and movies, people from all over the world started reaching out saying “who is this band? When does your album come out?” We had no intention of being a “real band”, but after a tsunami of emails, messages and our music being streamed millions of times, we decided, “what the hell, let’s take this to the next level!” We’ve become known as “the band invented by their fans”.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
HOOPER: If Thirty Seconds, Muse, Les Friction, BMTH, My Chemical Romance and Rage Against The Machine had an orgy, we would be the baby.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
HOOPER: We’ve spent the past year working on our new album which we’re chaffing at the bit to release and play for our fans, but in the meantime, our most recent release, “Machines” continues to grow, and stream like crazy without radio, promotion, or touring. It’s purely exploded by fans sharing. Our song “For the Glory” is by far the most popular song on that album, and has become a “struggle to victory” anthem for people all over the world. From hockey, football and wrestling teams, to military personnel, the “Machines” album has become a staple in people’s everyday life.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
HOOPER: We HOPE, once we make it through the end of the world, to put on a dynamic visual show and are really excited about utilizing new technologies to make it a more immersive experience. Our music was born of visual inspiration, so we’re going to keep that going. All the band members sing, are multi instrumentalists and bring many different musical influences to the table, so our show tends to reach a wider audience than straight up hard rock or nu metal fans.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
HOOPER: Hopefully doing a few big tours a year with some visually creative people, making concert experiences that blow people’s minds, and bring together fans from all walks of life.
