Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Slave Revolt.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
SLAVE REVOLT: Jimi Ivins: We are really just a bunch of guys that love to have fun and make music. I think that we work so well together because we are all influenced by so many different things and when it comes to the songwriting we put all our heads together to try and get the best outcome!
Greg Antine: Longtime Friends Having fun and Playing Music that we Love
Tuck: We are a bunch of Jersey dudes who have jammed together previously in various other bands and projects… But NOW we are together and putting out some fun, heavy, loving tunes!
Kris Night: Different, unique and dynamic.
Mike Antine: We’re a group of old friends who just love playing music. We all played together in the past and met up this past year for a great time and wanted to play again!
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
SLAVE REVOLT: Jimi Ivins: Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Ozzy Osbourne, Motionless in White, Ice Nine Kills, Cane Hill, In Flames, Nine Inch Nails, Combichrist.
Greg Antine: Quicksand, Filter, Orange 9mm, Deftones.
Tuck: Wow, well Metallica is the reason why I picked up a guitar! Definitely Fear Factory, Rush and Dream Theater for sure! And everything else in between!
Kris Night: Candiria, Korn, Primus, Atreyu, Deftones.
Mike Antine: My main influences include anything Maynard Jame Keenan is a part of (Tool, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle). I also love Deftones and with new music today, I love Of Mice & Men, etc.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
SLAVE REVOLT: Jimi Ivins: Our latest release is called Organic Robot and I believe we fit the spirit of what Metal Anarchy fans should come to expect. Bone crunching riffs, raw vocals, and dynamic structure!
Greg Antine: Organic Robot. Honest hard driven song that pulsates and captures the heavy side of Slave Revolt.
Tuck: We have 2 singles out right now. (Open The Heavens & Organic Robot). We are right in the middle of ALL the Heavy genres. These songs offer a piece of everything that’s out there currently. With that said, there’s definitely something unique about the songs… Could be the vocals, could be the riff— But ultimately it’s a taste of the album… Can’t Wait till you hear the rest of the Album!
Kris Night: Very dynamic and different.
Mike Antine: I was asked to play on this awesome project. These guys put together a great product on their 1st try and I’m gonna just add a little flavor to this. And the rest of the guys got this social media game down. Me not so much- I just play the Drums! (Tuck is typing this out for me because I’m that terrible! š lol)
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
SLAVE REVOLT: Jimi Ivins: I think they can expect a high energy and entertaining performance! We wanna have a good time with the good people who come out to the shows and show our support for them as well!
Greg Antine: Expect to have a Stellar Time While Attending Our Live Show. The Music is Heavy, Dark and Emotional.
Tuck: Fun, Fun, and Fun! We want to try to connect with everyone musically as well as just have fun! We try to bring as much energy as possible…. We have cases of vitamins and bottles of Ensure so we are ready! Lol
Kris Night: Energy and chaos.
Mike Antine: Just an Awesome experience… We are gonna learn from our past projects and try to infuse all our experience to make it entertaining! Just like what I want to see at shows!
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
SLAVE REVOLT: Jimi Ivins: Hopefully with perseverance and hard work we will be still pushing ourselves as musicians and artists and writing music that people still like!
Greg Antine: I See Us Jamming and Performing and Putting Our Hearts and Souls into the Music that we Love to Create.
Tuck: Honestly, Iām not looking that far ahead, but we will definitely be putting the best music we can out there for everyone!
Kris Night: Still Rock out, but hopefully a little more well-known and appreciated.
Mike Antine: In 5 years, I hope we have created some great music and vibes to share with our fans and ourselves… Because if we aren’t having fun there’s no use putting a square peg in a round hole! Peace!!!
