Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Jordan Red.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
JORDAN RED: We are Jordan Red from London, UK. Our music fuses the melodic elements of 21st-century rock with alt metal and the aggressive, high energy pulse of modern punk.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
JORDAN RED: Shinedown, Alter Bridge, Metallica, and Five Finger Death Punch. They’re all on top of their game with the songs and performances to back it up. It’s inspiring to see them prove there is still a place for rock no matter what the media would have you believe.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
JORDAN RED: We recorded ‘Beautiful Monsters’ at Long Wave Studios in Cardiff with producer Romesh Dodangoda. This was the first track that we wrote together that gave us a sense of direction as a band. It’s high energy and Romesh really captured the sound we had in our heads with the production. We wanted this to be the first track that people hear from Jordan Red and we shot a killer video with Sitcom Soldiers to put out as well!
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
JORDAN RED: We want to deliver these songs with a big sound and give people a place they can let it all out. The band is fresh out so stay tuned for live dates and check out our video for ‘Beautiful Monsters’ to see the energy we will be unleashing on stage.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
JORDAN RED: The great thing now is it’s easier than ever to reach your audience so whatever happens we will continue to create music we believe in and get it out. For us it starts with the music first and the vision grows from there, but ultimately we want to take it out on tour around the world. We want to play everywhere, especially America! Most of the bands that we listen to are from the states and our sound is heavily influenced by the American rock scene so that would be a dream!
