Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With LifeCycle

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with LifeCycle.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

LIFECYCLE: LIFECYCLE is a hard-hitting Alternative Metal band based out of Jackson, NJ. LIFECYCLE features Asim Rizvi (4Karma), John Soden (Legion), Joe Viggiano (formerly Ataraxia), Kevin Hightower (formerly Noosphere), and Scott Pustilnick (formerly MCA recording Artist Familiar 48).

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

LIFECYCLE: Each other. We are influenced by writing, laughing, drinking, smoking, and making music together. Each one of us, we all get exposed to different ideas and different things during the course of the day. We bring that influence to the rehearsals, to the writing sessions, and to our live shows. Its a Lifecycle.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

LIFECYCLE: Our latest release just happens to be our debut self titled single “Lifecycle”. Very easy to remember after a night of Scotch to remember the name of your song if its also the band name. The more drink, the more we think we should name all our songs “Lifecycle”. If you are reading this, you should check out our debut single because it is a no bull shit great guitar driven song that delivers. It will also make you taller, faster, less hairy, and you will smell better after listening to it. Seriously though, its a vicious song with great melody, and killer drums and guitars.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

LIFECYCLE: Free whiskey. Free beer. The band doesn’t take itself too serious. We have fun on stage and it translates to the audience. It is all designed to pump out great guitar driven kick ass songs and at the same time keep the energy throughout the night. The whole reason you go see a band live is to be entertained by the show while you are enjoying the great songs…….its our #1 priority. Dont take my word for it….Come see.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

LIFECYCLE: Japan. I also see us in Japan in 2 years. Japan Japan Japan. Did I mention Japan is awesome? It is.
