Ric Ocasek (The Cars) has sadly passed away at the age of 75. According to The New York Times, police found the musician in his Manhattan townhouse earlier today (September 15) and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The New York City medical examiner’s office has listed Ocasek’s cause of death as “hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease” with emphysema as a contributing factor.
