Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Black Income.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
BLACK INCOME: We’re The Black Income and we’re a Stoner Grunge / Hard Rock Band from Denmark. We started out in 2011 and released our first album Noise Pollution in 2016, and now we’re releasing our second studio album ‘unSOUND’ on Friday the 23rd of August.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
BLACK INCOME: Well we have a lot of influences, but we sure love the sounds and the reality of the bands back in the 90’s, like Alice In Chains, Nirvana, and Soundgarden, but we also listen to a lot of Stoner and Desert bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Fu Manchu… but we’re not hear to copy these bands. We aim to create our own sound, but we feel inspired by these bands, but we’re not repeating the history. We created something unique.. that we get a lot.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
BLACK INCOME: Latest release is called ‘Noise Pollution’, but we have a new album out on August 23, with a brand a new single and video ‘LOADED GUN’, so make sure to check it out.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
BLACK INCOME: People tend to really rock out at our shows. we love playing live and we beat the shit out of it…. Live is where we live, and that’s when the music comes to life…. when band and audience come together, things really take off and get really energetic. Make sure to check us out live, when you get the chance in 2020.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
BLACK INCOME: In 5 years, hopefully we have like 2 or 3 more albums out, and we aim to go touring in 2020, to spread the music and grow our fanbase… Hopefully some bigger gigs and Festivals will come along as our band grows.
