Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Bangover

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Bangover.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

BANGOVER: We are from London, forming in 2011 we’ve been playing shows and release music ever seen. We eventually got to play Bloodstock in 2017 through the Metal To The Masses competition in London and releasing an album the following year.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

BANGOVER: We all have different influences in the band, but we all love thrash. So your typical bands like Slayer, Megadeth Testament, Metallica, but newer ones too like Evile or Havok. We all listen to a variety, some of it may surprise you.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

BANGOVER: We released a new album called ‘Shovel Butcher’ back in December 2018. I feel like the album has everything, killers grooves, nice melodies, etc. The playing for everyone is really good. If you love thrash and love having a good time, you’ll like the album!

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

BANGOVER: You can really have some fun at our gigs, the music is fast and grooves are real heavy. You can get drunk and know that we’ll be in the exact same state.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

BANGOVER: We just plan to keep going, release new music, play more shows and get onto bigger bills. We just want people to hear us!
