Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Emma Garell.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
EMMA GARELL: As for music…just pure rock n’ roll. We are slowly replacing our cover set with originals. We are excited to have just hired a new guitarist, Camden Harrahy. Camden and I have played together off and on since 2015 either in tribute shows at School of Rock or as my drummer in my old cover band, Bismuth. We just had our first show together with everyone and it was like we had always played together. CJ Alicea on drums and Sammy P. Stiles on bass have been with me since day one for this project, September 2018.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
EMMA GARELL: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, The Pretty Reckless and Highly Suspect.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
EMMA GARELL: “Destination Anaheim”, they should check it out because pure rock n’ roll in making a comeback with my generation.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
EMMA GARELL: You should expect a rock n’ roll show. I see people looking surprised that I am not the quiet little girl that I look like. After they get past that “what the fuck” moment they are singing and headbanging along. We play some familiar tunes along with our classic rock inspired originals, I hope they feel that familiarity in our originals.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
EMMA GARELL: hat seems to far away, but hopefully still making music, touring and playing bigger festivals.
