During a recent interview with NME at the 2019 Glastonbury Festival, Bring Me The Horizon’s Jordan Fish was asked if the band feel like they need to fly the metal flag at non-metal/rock festivals like Glastonbury. He responded with the following:
“We’re not really a metal band as such. We’re kind of ‘false metal’. So I don’t think we’re… We’re not really accepted by the metal community I don’t reckon so we’re just kind of doing our own thing I think.”
The group have continued to move further away from their metal roots with their latest album “Amo.”
