Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Elissa Pearson of Cold Kingdom.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
PEARSON: We are a hard rock band from Minneapolis, MN called Cold Kingdom. We are full of passion for music and performing, and strive to pack a punch with every show we are a part of. We also might have a slight problem with Taco Bell!!
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
PEARSON: We have a wide variety of influence between the five of us. Some of my top ones are: Lacey Sturm, Birds Of Tokyo, 30 Seconds To Mars, Meg Myers, Halestorm, and Alannis Morrissette.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
PEARSON: We released a full length album on May 24th, called ‘Into the Black Sky’. This album represents a new chapter for Cold Kingdom. We pushed the limits on who we are as a band, and couldn’t be more proud of the product.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
PEARSON: You can expect to see and feel a lot of passion and energy coming from that stage. We strive to leave it all on the stage every time we get up there and make you feel something. And sweat, there is a lot of sweat.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
PEARSON: The goal is to take over the world!! Right now, we are focusing on building the right team to help us grow our name and our reach. We want to get out on the road as much as possible, not just in the midwest, but around the country and even over-seas!
