As previously reported, Ill Niño have split into two groups, who are both fighting to take control of the band. One group includes Dave Chavarri, Lazaro Pina, and Daniel Couto, along with new members Marcos Leal (Shattered Sun), Sal Dominguez (ex-Upon A Burning Body), and Jes Dehoyos (Sons Of Texas), while the other group includes Cristian Machado, Ahrue Luster, and Diego Verduzco. MetalSucks have since obtained the 53-page complaint that Machado, Luster, and Verduzco filed against Chavarri and Pina and it offers more insight into the situation. The three are claiming that Chavarri failed to pay for band related services, kept money from bands that bought onto their tours, pocketed guarantees and tour advances, falsified documents for financial gain, slandered Machado by saying he’s a drug addict, and much more. They are currently seeking to remove Chavarri from the band and to receive damages in an amount determined by the court.
