Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With TERRORBYTE

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with TERRORBYTE.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

TERRORBYTE: We’re a masked band that was built from having gone through things in life that have killed you, and finding a way through music and art to “come back from the dead.” We have a line in one of our songs that goes, “with every knife in my back / you armed me / my inner demons / are my personal army” — that’s what we’re about — empowering people to use their pain as an energy source to turn things around.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

TERRORBYTE: Our main influences are Linkin Park, Slipknot, Emmure, Bobby Shmurda, Kevin Gates, Bring Me The Horizon, Eminem, NIN, and Marilyn Manson.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

TERRORBYTE: Our latest release is our music video for the track “WORLDSTAR” off our new, upcoming album “CRIMEWAVE.”

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

TERRORBYTE: When people go to our live shows, they can expect overwhelming energy and chaos. It’s a dark spiritual experience; it’s the time and place for everyone to have their catharsis and get all the demons and poison out of their system. Our shows are very physical, on stage and off, and more often than not, we turn the entire venue into a stage — it’s not uncommon for the entire band to be crowd surfing, climbing the walls and hanging from the ceiling during our set.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

TERRORBYTE: You never know what can, or will happen.
