Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With The Colour You

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with The Colour You.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

THE COLOUR YOU: The Colour You is an alternative rock band with a dash of pop from Baton Rouge, La.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

THE COLOUR YOU: There are too many to name, we all love a wide variety of artists. We pull from a lot of our major influences and I think it translates well in the music and you can hear it when you want to, but you can also see how we make it our own.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

THE COLOUR YOU: “Set Me Free” is the name of our debut release and you should check it out because it’s something new and different and why wouldn’t you? Everyone’s a little curious about the new kid in school, right? It’s heavy in all the right ways and catchy enough to keep you interested.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

THE COLOUR YOU: A wall of in your face guitars, a dynamic punch in the gut from track to track, and a goofy kid from L.A. with a microphone, teal hair, and powerful voice.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

THE COLOUR YOU: Hopefully, stepping foot in countries we’ve never been to play shows for people who are passionate to see The Colour You, with our music in stores around the world and having the time of our lives.
